It is important to check the integrity of your Sage 300 data on a daily basis to ensure your data is usable and you don’t find yourself suddenly not able to ship an order or run day end.
It is also important to ensure that your backups (which most companies have) are in fact usable in the case of a catastrophe. This is particularly important when you have large amounts of data as the risks of data corruption increase and it becomes harder to find the problem.
Sage 300’s administrative services includes the ability to do data integrity checks but these can take a long time on large databases. There is also third party tool available that will greatly speed up this process (minutes not hours) and allow you to schedule it to run unattended on a daily basis.
